From scientific research and prototyping to market launch, Glia Innovation has a robust history of technological evolution, resulting from constant improvement processes.
The company's portfolio includes various types of nanotechnology delivery systems, based on lipid and polymer delivery systems or a combination of these constituents. Additionally, the company has a dedicated development segment for the design and synthesis of biomimetic peptides. These peptides represent a cutting-edge innovation in the cosmetic industry as active ingredients for cosmetic formulations. In 2022, the company filed five patents and received INCI names for two proprietary peptides, solidifying its position as a leading player in this field.
João Paulo Figueiró Longo hold a Master's degree in Molecular Pathology and a PhD in Animal Biology from the University of Brasília. Currently, they are an associate professor at the same university, working in the fields of Nanobiotechnology and Nanomedicine. Their primary research projects are related to the investigation of the effects of nanomaterials on biological systems at different levels of complexity. As a manager, they have served as the Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program, Master's and Doctorate, in Nanoscience and Nanobiotechnology. They are also the founder of the startup Glia Innovation, a company focused on the development and production of intelligent raw materials for life sciences industries. At the moment, Glia Innovation is dedicated to develop delivery systems using different nanotech platforms to transport active ingredients for different topical applications.
