Peptides enabling extended intravitreal drug delivery as nano-particle conjugates
Jack Henkin
Research Professor, Chemistry, Center for Developmental Therapuetics, Northwestern University
Short peptides containing 2-4 L-Arg residues were linked to condensed dextran nanoparticles yielding < 100nm carriers with zeta potential from +3 to+9 mV, diffusing very slowly in vitreous humor by IVIS, with promise to to enable controlled intraocular drug delivery.
